2nd Scientific Salon on The Economic Effects of New Libyan Dinar Exchange Rate
In the presence of the President of the University of Tripoli, Prof. Nabil Enattah, the 2nd Scientific and Cultural Salon of the University of Tripoli entitled ‘The Economic Effects of the New Exchange Rate of the Libyan Dinar’ was held at the Faculty of Information Technology.
The President of the University of Sabratha. Dr. Abdel-Latif Al-Asheq, the Vice-President of Medical Faculties at UoT, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Razzaq Al-Uzi, deans, directors of centers, departments and offices, and a group of academics and staff members have attended this event.
Prof. Muhammad Al-Maghoub, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and a staff member in the Finance and Banking Department, gave a talk titled ‘The new exchange rate – pros and cons’.
Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Houthi, a staff member at the Department of Economics, presented his topic unde the title ‘The Impact of the New Exchange Rate on Citizen’s Purchasing Power’. Prof. Muhammad Danaf, Head of the Economics Department, delivered a talk titled ‘Is the exchange rate of $4.48 an appropriate price’.
Discussion and questions related to the sessions were opened that gave rise to fruitful interaction between the lecturers and the attendees, wishing the Libyan economy a continued stability.
