French is a language that is spoken in many regions of the world, from Canada to Luxembourg to Senegal. In today's world, there is a greater need for cross-cultural communication. The Bachelor's degree program in French at the Faculty of Languages - University of Tripoli provides the foundation and the necessary educational experience for students who aspire to be able to use the French language effectively and to publish scientific research as well as to think critically and creatively. The program also provides students with the linguistic and cognitive skills necessary to use the French language efficiently and creatively in different contexts, in addition to the general skills of deductive and critical thinking. The student is admitted to the French language department after passing the French language in addition to the English language and the Arabic language in the preliminary year. He spends eight semesters (equivalent to four years) in studying courses designed to develop his skills in the French language during the first semesters, and acquires the listening and writing skills that qualify him to study literature, translation and linguistics in the advanced semesters. After completing the study, writing and discussing the graduation project in the eighth semester, the student will obtain (between 122 and 128) credits that qualify him to obtain a BA in French from the University of Tripoli / Faculty of Languages.
