Description
The study program of the department is concerned with the achievement of the graduate, by enabling him/her to master the Arabic language in writing, pronunciation and performance and be capable of employing it, and evaluating the tongues of students to narrow the gap between classical and colloquial, and including the provisions of Islamic knowledge and Sharia issues and everything related to Islamic culture, which qualifies the graduate to teach Islamic education, and to be familiar with the history of Arabic literature and the advantages of literary production in each era, to teach Arabic language in all its branches efficiently and competently.

1) Preserving the integrity of the Arabic language as the language of the Holy Qur'an, the title of the nation's personality, and the symbol of its identity.
2) Enriching human knowledge of the Arabic language, literature, culture and civilization.
3) Develop the student to realize some aspects.
4) Interaction with the cultures of the age, its knowledge and experiences, and the establishment of bridges of human communication with this contemporary reality, in which the theories and creations of literature and doctrines of criticism have become a common heritage and the property of every language.

6) Employing the best teaching aids, teaching aids and tools that ensure the success of the educational process.

Study Plan
The Bachelor in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies prepares students to qualify for Bachelor in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies. The student studies several subjects which have been carefully chosen in this major to cover its different aspects.
It comprises 8 Semesters of study, in which the student will study a total of 136 units, which include 32 units of general subjects, and 80 major units, 24 of elective units. In addition to a final project in the student's major.

Course description: In this course, students identify some aspects of the political life during the Turkish takeover of the reins of power. They will also study about the social life that was full of civilization, luxury, amusement, slavery, slave women, asceticism, and mysticism. Moreover, students will be able to identify the intellectual life including science, language, criticism, history, interpretation, and philosophy. Additionally, they will identify how poetry was affected by all of that. Students will also study some of poetic texts from the era such as Ibn al-Rumi, Ibn al-Mu'tazz, al-Hallaj and al-Buhturi.
