Word Of the Head Department of Aquaculture
Due to the importance of the sea due to its enormous wealth and an important source of animal protein for humans, as well as the effective role that marine wealth plays in supporting the national economy, the Aquaculture Department was established in 1995 AD.
The department aims, in general, to preserve, develop and invest in the national marine wealth, as well as to participate in achieving food security. This comes through preparing qualified graduates who are scientifically and practically capable of hatching and breeding fish and crustaceans of economic interest locally and globally, as well as how to exploit marine resources and wealth in achieving sustainable development. And cooperation with research centers, including the Marine Biology Research Center / Tajoura and other relevant academic bodies.
